At Shinelight a single headlight is $100 AUD. The Standard pack (both headlights restored) is $120, and the Premium pack (both headlights + ceramic coating, up to 2 years protection) is $180. Tail lights, fog lights, reflector lights and badge restoration are available as add-ons — ask for a price when you request your quote.

Restoration is the right call for 95% of yellowed or hazy headlights. New OEM headlight assemblies typically cost $800–$2,500+ per side plus dealership labour, and the new lens will start yellowing again in 5–7 years anyway. Professional restoration at $120 delivers the same crystal-clear look in about an hour. We only recommend replacement if the housing is cracked or the internal reflector is damaged.

Yes — significantly. DIY kits use hand-sanding and a wipe-on sealant that typically lasts 2–4 months and often leaves swirl marks. Our process uses progressive wet sanding plus a 2-step machine polish, then a professional-grade ceramic coating. The result is deeper clarity and durability measured in years, not months.

Without ceramic coating, expect yellowing to return at around 6 months. With our ceramic coating, protection extends up to 2 years depending on sun exposure. When it eventually dulls, we can re-restore at a reduced cost.

It can be — oxidised headlights can reduce light output by up to 70%, dramatically shortening visible range at night and in rain. Restoration brings light output back to near-factory levels, which is a real safety improvement, not just a cosmetic one.

No problem — we reschedule at no charge. If the weather turns unexpectedly we'll give you a heads-up and find a new time.

A power outlet within reach for our polishing machine and ideally a covered spot (garage or carport) so the ceramic coating cures cleanly. Open driveway works fine in good weather.

No — we restore the exterior polycarbonate lens only. If there's moisture, fogging or debris inside the housing, that's a different job that requires removing the assembly. The exterior restoration alone still makes a dramatic difference.

Seven days a week, flexible schedule. We work around your day — early morning, evening or weekend. Weekend slots fill up fast, so book early if you need a Saturday or Sunday.
